I have access to Schoolcraft colleges industrial powdercoating setup and every now and again i get a batch of stuff together to powdercoat. I am planning on doing a batch sometime in the next month so if anybody has anything they want done let me know. The cost will be minimal as I have to supply my own powder. Right now i have on hand Flat Black, Gloss White, and Drab Green. I can get other colors but the cost will be higher since i have to order them. I will extend this offer until August 20th, so please feel free to get with me by then at the latest.

Also if you have any questions about what can or cant be done or what the finish is like please ask.

1) How durable is powder coat?

2) Is it a matte or glosse finish?

3) How much would it cost? I think I would want to get my Phantom done.

Robert or Josh, do you think this would be unwise?

It is pretty durable, I have seen a few P/C'ed Phantoms... My next Phantom project will be P/C'ed. My only question is how thick is the P/C? Will it affect the pump handle? All of the P/C'ed Phantoms I could find had undercocking kits on them so it wasn't an issue.

I want to make sure that nothing is going to mess with performance. I wouldn't want speckles of paint and whatnot in the barrel or breech and stuff.

I wouldn't mind getting my A-5 done. Just need to know how much it will cost.

3) How much would it cost? depends on the color, colors i have on hand parts would be in the 5-20 dollar range. colors i have to order would be 20-40 dollars I think I would want to get my Phantom done.

Robert or Josh, do you think this would be unwise? I would say its not necessary on a brand new gun. and it would be to thick to use on the barrel if you wanted to keep the stock pump.

Other than that i would say powdercoat is more durable than anno. it is not as succeptable to scratches as anno.

I can bring some guns i have done to to the next game.

I'm going to bring my A-5 receivers to Leonard on the 10th. Think you could take them and get them done in time for T.C.? I'd like gloss white, how much would it cost?

It looks cool, and I don't use it very much so I don't care how well it blends in.

OK, it's the newer, rougher powdercoat.

Josh,

I might just have you ship the finished product back to me, that way I won't have to reassemble everything Friday night and stuff. Obviously I'll pay for it.

My address:
700 W Ridge Ct
Orion, MI 48359

If you can't get it done and shipped in time, just bring it to T.C. I'll pay you there regardless.
